HC Deb 09 December 1926 vol 200 c2276
36. Dr. WATTS

asked the Minister of Health if he is aware that many insured persons who wished to join the Widows', Orphans' and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act, 192;, Voluntary section, have been refused because they omitted to apply before 4th July, 1926; and if he will consider the question of extending the time limit?

Mr. CHAMBERLAlN

I understand that a certain number of persons qualified to heroine Voluntary contributors failed to apply within the time normally allowed under the statutory Regulations. As to an extension of the time limit, I would refer to the answers given to questions by the hon. Members for Elland and South Mofton en the 25th November and the 2nd December.
