HC Deb 08 December 1926 vol 200 cc2095-6
39. Mr. VIANT

asked the Secretary of State for Air if the £60,000 appearing in the 1925 Air Estimates, or any part of that sum, has been paid to the Airship Guarantee Company and, if so, on what date?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Sir Philip Sassoon)

No, Sir. The sum of £60,000, which was taken in the Air Estimates, 1025, was not earned and lapsed, as an unspent provision. A sum of £30,000 has been taken in the current year's Estimates, and is expected to be earned and paid.
