40. Mr. VIANT

asked the Secretary of State for Air the sum or sums of money paid by the Aircraft Disposals Company, Limited, in respect of the surplus aero-planes, engines, spares, etc., and warlike stores acquired from the Air Ministry?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Ronald McNeill)

have been asked to reply. The moneys received up to the present by the Disposal Board in respect of the sale in question amount to £1,014,891. A further sum of £55,597 13s. 2d. is due from the company and is payable, subject to interest, by five quarterly instalments, the next instalment being due on 25th December.
