CHAMBERLAINThe statement referred to was sent in response to a specific inquiry from the President of the United Press as to the steps taken by the Government in connection with the relief of distress. The message was not sent through the Ambassador, but was sent with my knowledge and, I need scarcely add, with my full concurrence.
§ Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYIf any news agency in the world addresses questions of this kind to the Prime Minister, are we to have similar manifestations made on behalf of the Government?
