PETOasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will see that in the next Report on the health of the Army the figures relating to the incidence of venereal disease are brought up to date, and that a Report will he included as to the effect of preventive and other measures taken to reduce it?
§ The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)As regards the first part of the question, the statistics relating to diseases in the Army cannot be compiled until the information is received from all Commands, both at home and abroad, which in the case of India is not until July of the year following that to which they refer. It is hoped that the Report for 1925 will be ready for publication by the end of the current year. As regards the second part of the question, reference to page 17 of the Report for the year 1924 will show that reference is already made to the effect of preventive and other measures.
