The question of the damage caused to roads by heavy vehicles fitted with unsuitable tyres is under consideration, and steps have been taken to encourage as far as possible the fitting of such vehicles with rubber tyres or pads.

§ Colonel ASHLEYI cannot put anything into force until legislation has been passed. I have promised to consider the matter and to deal with it when legislation is brought forward.
