§ The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Winston Churchill)As I have already stated in reply to previous questions, His Majesty's Government have had this matter under close consideration. They have come definitely to the conclusion that it is contrary to the public interest that associations of Civil Servants should be affiliated to outside industrial and political organisations, and intend in due course to introduce legislation to deal with the matter.
