asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps the Government proposes to take to protect the interests of British subjects in Mexico whose interests are threatened by recent Mexican legislation?

His Majesty's Government have been in correspondence with the Mexican Government on this subject, and their representations have been courteously received. His Majesty's Government will not fail to take any further diplomatic action that may be necessary to safeguard these interests.
