HC Deb 22 April 1926 vol 194 cc1378-9
58. Mr. RAMSDEN

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the sum received in taxes from agents who are assessable for the profits made by nonresident principals arising from trade in this country?

Mr. McNEILL

I regret that I could not furnish this information without a special investigation involving examination of assessment books and preparation of special returns by all the tax districts in commercial centres, which would seriously interfere with the work of assessing and collecting revenue.
