§ 23. Mr. RYEasked the Minister of Health whether he will consider the advisability of bringing in legislation which will strengthen the powers of local authorities in rural areas and enable them to prevent the deposit of refuse and other offensive matter in public places and so maintain local amenities?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI am not satisfied, on present information, that further powers would be of any great practical advantage, but I am prepared to consider, with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State, any further evidence that may be brought to my notice.
