HC Deb 30 November 1925 vol 188 cc1815-6
46. Mr. A. M. WILLIAMS

asked the Prime Minister if he is in a position to state that the Merchandise Marks Bill will be proceeded with next Session?

The PRIME MINISTER

In view of the recommendations of the Imperial Eco- nomic Committee with regard to the marking of Imperial produce, the Government has decided not to proceed with this Bill, which was confined to agricultural produce. A wider and more comprehensive Measure will, I hope, be introduced next Session.
