THORNEasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware that there is a deficiency of public 1819 money, amounting to £320, in connection with the accounts of the bookstall at the British Museum; whether for the past nine months an employé has been penalised in consequence; and whether he will take any action in the matter?
§ Mr. McNEILLI do not feel able at present to say anything about this matter, as to which strict investigation is being made, except to state that no employé has been penalised.
§ Mr. THORNEAs soon as that investigation is completed, can I have the results?
