Mr. CHAMBERLAINWriting assistants are being employed on overtime in connection with the work in question, the numbers varying from week to week according to the requirements of the work. For the four weeks ending on 14th November, the average number so employed was 101, at an average weekly cost of £78.
§ Mr. BRIANTIs it possible that some of the workers who are at present unemployed could be engaged when there is so much overtime?
