HC Deb 25 November 1925 vol 188 c1371
81. Mr. SCURR

asked the Secretary of State for Air why the Air Ministry sold an aerodrome for demolition to a firm of contractors, and immediately afterwards asked the same contractors to tender for the construction of a new aerodrome on the same spot; and whether the contractor's tender for £250,000 has been accepted?

The SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Lieut.-Colonel Sir Samuel Hoare)

I am unable to identify any aerodrome as the subject or scene of the transactions to which the hon. Member refers. If he will kindly specify the aerodrome or aerodromes which he has in mind, I will have inquiries made and will endeavour to give him full information as to the disposal and re-acquisition.
