HC Deb 24 November 1925 vol 188 c1146
49. Mr. THURTLE

asked the Prime Minister if the Government is prepared to recommend to Parliament that this country should not again be committed to war without the approval of a General Election?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir.

Mr. THURTLE

Is the Prime Minister aware of the lead given to him in this matter by the leader of the Conservative party in Canada?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have not noticed that, but I think that Canada is in a very different position from us.
