HC Deb 23 November 1925 vol 188 cc907-8
55. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Prime Minister whether he has further considered the possibility of a new Disarmament Conference; whether he has had any communications with the leaders of other Governments on this subject; and, in particular, whether he contemplates the possibility of another conference on naval armaments?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I would refer the hon. and gallant Gentleman to the answer given on the 18th November to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton East (Mr. G. Thorne).

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

May I ask, arising out of that, if the right hon. Gentleman is aware that this matter was being considered when first he took office, and now, as nearly a year has passed, can he not report any progress?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I do not see how that can possibly arise out of the answer to which I have referred the hon. and gallant Gentleman, as to which, I think, he is not informed.
