Major HORE-BELISHAasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty with reference to the position of the naval shipwright apprentices at present serving their apprenticeship in the Royal Dockyard, whether their status and pay will be affected on their joining the Royal Navy in connection with the recent reduction in rates of pay, or whether they will be in the same position as their predecessors, seeing that they are at present serving their time?
Mr. DAVIDSONThese apprentices were already serving on 4th October, and, therefore, remain on the old scale of pay.
