§ The PRIME MINISTERThis question is being actively considered, but I regret that I am not in a position to make any statement at present. In any event, pressure of Parliamentary business would prevent the introduction of legislation of the character suggested during this session.
§ Mr. SNOWDENWhile the Government are considering this matter, will they also consider the point of making the repeal of a duty immediately operative?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI will take that suggestion into consideration.
