asked the Minister of Labour whether he can state the number of unemployed in the lace industry?

At 26th October, 1925, the number of persons in the lace industry of Great Britain recorded as unemployed was 3,893.

Can the right hon. Gentleman give the figures for last year?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

I am afraid I cannot hear the question.

Could the right hon. Gentleman give figures; is the present figure higher or lower than the comparable figure of last year?
