HC Deb 18 November 1925 vol 188 c376
41. Mr. CAPE

asked the Minister of Labour, if he has received a protest by the Workington and District Employment Committee; and does he intend to investigate into the matter complained of in the protest with a view of issuing new regulations to meet the cases contained in their letter of protest?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

I have been unable to trace any recent protest from this Committee. If the hon. Member will give me particulars of any matter requiring investigation I shall be happy to look into it.

Mr. CAPE

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that already a letter from his Department has been received indirectly that they have received this protest and will give it consideration?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

That is what I am not aware of; if I have made a slip I will look into the matter again.

Mr. TAYLOR

Have any new Regulations revising paragraphs 61, 64 of L.E.C./82/15 been issued by the Department; a promise was mare about three weeks ago?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

Perhaps the hon. Gentleman will put that question down. I do not think it arises out of this question.
