HC Deb 18 November 1925 vol 188 cc344-5
2. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can report any progress in the settlement of outstanding questions with the Government of Russia?

7. Mr. FENBY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any change has taken place since the rising of Parliament in Anglo-Russian relations.

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The answer to both these questions is in the negative.

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

Have any steps been taken to settle these matters during the Recess we have just finished? Has anything been done?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

That is what I have already answered.

Sir WILLIAM DAVISON

Can my right hon. Friend say whether steps will not be taken to secure the observance of the terms of the Trade Agreement, or else the cancellation of that document?

Mr. SPEAKER

That does not now arise.

Sir W. DAVISON

On a point of Order. The Foreign Secretary was asked as to the settlement of outstanding questions, and I am asking, arising out of that question, whether any steps will be taken to insist on the fulfilment of the terms of the Trade Agreement, which the Foreign Secretary said had been broken, when he last spoke to the House, and, if not, whether it will be cancelled in accordance with the provision to that effect.

Mr. SPEAKER

Important questions with regard to matters of foreign policy ought to be put on the Paper.
