§ Colonel WEDGWOOD by Private Noticeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received any account from His Britannic Majesty's Consul in Syria as to the recent affairs in Damascus, and can he give the House any information as to the casualties due to the bombardment, losses suffered by 28 British subjects, and the allegation that the panic among the Europeans was due to the action or inaction of the Consul?
