§ Mr. A. M. SAMUEL (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)Parliament will 5 shortly be asked to vote £1,100,000 in connection with its guarantee to the British Empire Exhibition. I should add that the Government, in common with private guarantors, will be entitled to a proportionate share of any subsequent reimbursement which may be practicable when the liquidation of the Exhibition's assets has been effected.
