asked the Minister of Labour how many factories there are, and where situate, in which the manufacture of artificial silk is carried on; and the number of persons employed in its manufacture?

According to the information in the possession of the Home Office there are 27 factories and one workshop engaged in artificial silk manufacture, including winding, bleaching and dyeing. I am circulating in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of the places at which they are situate. There are no available statistics with regard to the number of persons employed.
