asked the Minister of Labour the number of boys and girls, respectively, who attained the age of 16 years during the year ended 31st December last; and to how many of each of them were unemployment insurance cards issued because they were then in insurable employment

The number of juveniles in Great Britain who attained the age of 16 years during the year ended 31st December, 1924, is approximately estimated at 421,000 boys and 416,000 girls. During 1924 the number of unemployment hooks issued to new entrants to insured trades of 16 and under 18 years was 352,817 to boys and 254,610 to girls. It. is not possible to distinguish separately books issued to juveniles of 16 years
