also asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the Government of India was consulted about the construction and maintenance of the Singapore base: and whether it is the intention of the Government of India to allow a discussion of this matter in the Legislative Assembly?

The answer to the first part of the question is in the, affirmative. As regard the second part, T am not aware of any such intention

May I ask whether it is a fact that the officials of the Government of India were instructed in the Assembly by the representatives of India, and whether it is a fact that information was refused?

I really must have notice of a question like that. It is quite obvious that I cannot carry in my head all the questions asked in the Assembly. I have answered the question the hon. Member has put on the Paper
