asked the First Lord of the Admiralty when the Committee looking into the question of shipbuilding for the Royal Navy is expected to report?

I regret that I cannot add anything to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister gave to a similar question on 28th April last

Will the right hon. Gentleman inform the House, later on, when we can have some information on this matter Will theReport be published, or how will the matter be left?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I do not suppose the Report will be published, but the House will be informed as soon as we decide

Can the right hon. Gentleman give us some assurance that this matter is being expedited, in view of the fact that the employment of many thousands of men depends on it?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

Yes, Sir, I am very anxious that the Committee should report as soon as possible. and I can assure the hon. and gallant Member that I shall do my best
