§ 29. . Mr. GEOFFREY PETOasked the Home Secretary what steps he proposes to take to prevent the irregular admission of aliens to this country through Southern Ireland?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSThe safeguard of our interests in this matter consists in the existence at the ports of the Irish Free State of the same machinery as exists at the ports of this country operated by the Free State Government on lines similar to those of my own administration. I have no evidence showing that undesirable aliens are coming into this country through Southern Ireland.
