HC Deb 06 May 1925 vol 183 c910
2. Mr.PETHICK-LAWRENCE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received information that the Swedish Government has placed the question of the nationality of married women before the legal committee of the League of Nations; and whether, in view of the recent decision of this House, he proposes to take any action in the matter?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

There is no legal committee of the League of Nations. I presume the hon. Member is referring to the committee appointed by the last Assembly of the League of Nations to consider the codification of international law. I can make no statement on the proceedings of that committee until I have received a report from the British member.
