asked the Secretary of State for War the number of men of over 60 and 65 years of age, respectively, of more than 20 years' service, who have been discharged without pension from the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, from the date of the Armistice to the 31st December last?

The total numbers of men (1) between 60 and 65 years of age, and (2) over 65 years of age, with more than 20 years' service, who have been discharged without pension during the period in question, are 1,370 and 326, respectively. All of these received a gratuity on discharge.
