HC Deb 30 March 1925 vol 182 cc934-5
48. Mr. GRANT

asked the Prime Minister if he can give information to the House as to the progress of the inquiry being made by the British Trade Committee of Inquiry; and if he can state when a Report may be expected from that Committee?

Mr. A. M. SAMUEL

I have been asked to reply. Since their appointment, the Committee on Industry and Trade have mainly been engaged in examining all available statistical and other material and taking evidence, and I understand they still have a good many witnesses to hear. I am not able to state when the Report of the Committee may be expected; but I may mention that the Committee propose that some of the information with which they have been furnished from official sources should be published, and a volume is now being prepared for issue.
