§ 48. Mr. GRANTasked the Prime Minister if he can give information to the House as to the progress of the inquiry being made by the British Trade Committee of Inquiry; and if he can state when a Report may be expected from that Committee?
§ Mr. A. M. SAMUELI have been asked to reply. Since their appointment, the Committee on Industry and Trade have 935 mainly been engaged in examining all available statistical and other material and taking evidence, and I understand they still have a good many witnesses to hear. I am not able to state when the Report of the Committee may be expected; but I may mention that the Committee propose that some of the information with which they have been furnished from official sources should be published, and a volume is now being prepared for issue.
