Mr. LIVINGSTONEasked the Lord Advocate whether his attention has been drawn to a speech delivered in Glasgow, on 14th March, by the Lord Justice Clerk in which approval was expressed of a proposal to create a Court of Criminal Appeal for Scotland, and in which the present provision for the revision of criminal sentences in Scotland was declared to be unsatisfactory; whether His Majesty's Government propose to introduce legislation on the subject; and, if so, at what date such legislation may be expected?
