Mr. LANSBURYasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he will state the reasons which have led the military authorities in India to come to the decision to create six additional air squadrons in that country, entailing a large increase in military expenditure to be paid for by the people of India; whether this decision was taken after consultation with the Indian Legislative Assembly; and whether Indians are excluded from serving in the Air Force in India?
§ Earl WINTERTONI know of no such decision having been arrived at by the military authorities in India. Indian civilian subordinates are employed in the Air Force in India.
