HC Deb 12 March 1925 vol 181 cc1483-4
13. Mr. TREVELYAN THOMSON

asked the Minister of Pensions if he will take steps, in those cases where pensioners through their disability are incapable of adequately presenting their cases before the appeals tribunal, to authorise local pension committees to pay the railway fare of anyone who is prepared to assist an appellant in stating his case?

Viscount CURZON

My right hon. Friend regrets that he can add nothing to the answers which he gave to the hon. Member on the same point on the 18th December last and on the 5th instant.

Mr. THOMSON

Will the Noble Lord make representations to the Minister that he should approach the Lord Chancellor, to see if he will move in this direction?

Viscount CURZON

I will convey the hon. Member's suggestion to my right hon. Friend.
