§ Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTERThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, I would remind my hon. Friend that the Treaty has not yet been ratified, and, is, therefore, not yet in force. His Majesty's Ambassador at Berlin, however, has recently been in communication with the German Government with a view to securing that licences should be accorded more freely for the importation of British goods of descriptions for which such licences are required.
