§ 30. Mr. FENBYasked the Minister of Agriculture if it is his intention, under Section 11 of the Agricultural Wages (Regulation) Act, 1924, to pay the travelling expenses of those workers making application for a permit under Section 2 (3) of the said Act when attending a meeting of the committee or sub-committee called for such purpose?
Mr. WOODThe Act does not authorise the payment of the travelling expenses of applicants for exemption. In most cases the Wages Committees are taking steps to meet the convenience of the applicants as far as possible by local hearings.
