§ 83. Mr. PALINasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider the possibility of reducing the amount of rifle and machine gun fire which now goes on at Fenham Barracks, Newcastle-upon-Tyne; whether he is aware that there is a convalescent home only a stone's-throw away, and that such an amount of firing is very disturbing to the patients accommodated there; and whether, having regard to the residential character of the district, he will endeavour to secure a more suitable site for this rifle range?
§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Captain Douglas King)My right hon. Friend is having inquiry made into the complaint brought to notice by the hon. Member, and will let him know the result as soon as possible.
