§ 78. Mr. SCURRasked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the great inconvenience to traffic at High Street, Aldgate, due to the existence of a hay-and-straw street market and a tramway dead-end; and whether he proposes to take any steps to remedy the matter?
§ Colonel ASHLEYMy attention has frequently been drawn to this matter, and I have referred it to the London Traffic Advisory Committee for consideration and report. I understand that the Committee have already made a personal visit, but I would remind the hon. Member that legislation would be required to abolish this street market.
