§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONThe ratio of telephones to population in the administrative County of London is 8 per cent. The latest available figure for Montreal is 11.4 per cent. The telephone services in both cities are operated on the same system; but the hon. Member is no doubt aware that use of the telephone is generally more extended in Canada and the United States than in Great Britain. The Post Office keeps in constant touch with the working of the telephone services of other administrations.
