HC Deb 29 June 1925 vol 185 c1983
4. Sir FRANK NELSON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the Secretary of State for India has received a memorial from the Anglo-Indian Association, London, containing representations from the Burma Provincial Forest Service as to the conditions in that service; and if he is in a position to state what action, if any, the Secretary of State proposes to take in the matter?

Earl WINTERTON

Yes, Sir. The Provincial Forest Service in Burma is employed in a transferred department, under the control of the local government, by whom its officers are appointed, and to whom, and not to the Secretary of State in Council, its representations should be addressed. My Noble Friend is causing the Anglo-Indian Association to be informed accordingly.
