I have been asked to reply to this question. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and I are appointing a Com- 1067 mittee, with the following terms of reference:To inquire into and advise upon the public system of education in England and Wales in relation to the requirements of trade and industry, with particular reference to the adequacy of the arrangements for enabling young persons to enter into and retain suitable employment.We hope to be in a position to make an announcement as to the personnel of the Committee at an early date.

No, Sir. I am not prepared at this moment to say definitely whether or not the inquiry will cover Scotland. Perhaps the hon. Member will put a question to me a little later, and I shall be able to tell him.
