§ 76. Mr. GROVESasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the chief medical officer of the Ministry, in the 1924 Report on Public Health and Medical Subjects, states that, since 1902, maternity mortality has not declined proportionately in the same degree as the death rates from all causes of women at reproductive ages, or as the general death rate for all persons at all ages, or as the infant mortality rate for children under one year of age: and will he state what special steps he proposes to take to impress upon all local authorities the urgent necessity of ensuring efficient treatment for expectant mothers?
§ Sir K. WOODI would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's reply to his question of the 20th May on this subject.
