§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONIt is the present practice of the British Broadcasting Company to broadcast an anniversary note each evening after the second news bulletin. The note usually deals in a descriptive manner with one important event associated with the day; and the company consider that these announcements are more likely to hold the interest of listeners than a recital of a list of events.
