The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Mr. Davidson)The dockyards referred to are 47 and 51 miles respectively from the nearest point on the Continent. In these circumstances, it is not anticipated that they could be brought under effective fire. The answer to the second part of the question is, therefore, in the affirmative.
