HENDERSONasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the unsuitable nature of the Employment Exchange premises at Salkeld Street, Glasgow; that these premises are an old grain store, with very bad lavatory accommodation, heating, ventilation, and lighting; and that there are various premises near by which could be taken in substitution; and what steps he proposes to take, in the interests of the health of the staff, to provide more suitable accommodation?
§ Mr. BETTERTONYes, Sir. The Salkeld Street premises are purely temporary, and were taken pending the ac- 603 quisition of a permanent building for this Exchange. Negotiations for permanent premises are actively in hand.
