The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Guinness)The total payments by Germany in cash or kind distributed by the Reparation Commission between the Allied Powers on account of reparation up to the 30th June is, approximately, £160,000,000. This excludes sums allocated to the costs of Armies of Occupation and other prior charges, sums un- 224 allocated, and also the receipts resulting from the occupation of the Ruhr, for which the accounts are not yet settled. Of the above total, the amount debited against the British Empire is approximately £25,000,000, of which the share of the United Kingdom is approximately £22,000,000.
