asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he is acting on behalf of the usual authorities for the enforcement at the British Empire Exhibition of the provisions of the Shops Act, Factory Acts, and Public Health Acts so far as they are applicable?

No, Sir. But I assist, where necessary, by representations to the Exhibition authorities, or otherwise, in securing that the law is duly observed.
