Mr. GUINNESSIt is not possible to distribute the cost of the Navy in terms of parts of the British Empire. India. however, pays to the Admiralty a fixed annual contribution towards the cost of His Majesty's Ships in Indian waters. The cost of British military forces in India is borne by Indian revenues.
