asked the Secretary of State or Foreign Affairs whether any reply his been sent to the request of the United States Government that diplomatic immunities should be granted to investigators sent by it to study the production casts of private concerns in this country; and, if so, the general character of the reply?

Mr. McNEILL

A reply has been sent to the United States Government in which His Majesty's Government express regret at being unable- to accede to the request that diplomatic status should be accorded to the representatives of the Customs Division of the United States Treasury Department.
