HC Deb 16 July 1925 vol 186 c1519
18. Mr. G. HURST

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the Dorset County Council is advertising for a health visitor at a salary of £148 a year, out of which the person appointed has to contribute £7 15s. a year towards the superannuation funds and to find her own bicycle; and whether, seeing that this salary, with its yearly increments, is far below the normal scale, he will draw this council's attention to the effect of its action upon the standard of trained nurses likely to be attracted into the public health service?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

Yes. Sir, I am in communication with the county council on the subject.
